His rejection by men  Isaiah 53:3
His substitutionary death  Isaiah 53:5-6

This is the heart of the Gospel  1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Our Lord was all He said He was
The scriptures guarantee Him

Jesus Ascended To Jerusalem To Die For Sinners

The love of Jesus brought Him to this earth

The love of Jesus brought Him to Jerusalem

His arrival would motivate His enemies
His arrival would lead to the cross

See his compassion for those who would crucify Him

He wept because they had missed their time   Luke 19:44

Luke 21:12 But before all this, they will take you and be very cruel to you, giving you up to the Synagogues and to prisons, taking you before kings and rulers, because of my name.

²⁵ And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars; and on the earth, fear among the nations and doubt because of the loud noise of the sea and the waves;
²⁶ Men´s strength will go from them in fear and in waiting for the things which are coming on the earth; for the powers of the heavens will be moved.
²⁷ And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud, with power and great glory.
²⁸ But when these things come about, let your heads be lifted up, because your salvation is near.

Luke 19:28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.
