On Time and on Target

Galatians 4:4-5

In this message I´ve tried to find something´s in the Christmas Story that can relate to us today.
We hear about the Inn, the shepherds, the wisemen.
We read about the fulfillment of prophecies and angelic appearence´s!
The beginning of the Greatest Story Ever Told but I believe God has more for us.
Read Galatians 4:4-5 We just read the statement that Paul made to the Galatian Church about Christs birth.

I want us to study what all this statement encompasses!

First of all God is Always on Time

Scripture says "When the fullness of the time was come."

It is interesting how impatient we become when things don´t work out as we plan, like

When our prayers aren´t answered
Or when problems persist

We forget God is always on Time

Here´s a few Old Testament Examples

Joseph sold into slavery and imprisoned what happens?
He became the Prime Minister of Egypt
Moses in the desert for forty years
He becomes the Deliverer!
The Red Sea
God was on time when they left Egypt, they came to the Red Sea and Pharaohs Army was coming to take them back to Egypt
God parted the Sea and they passed over to the other side and didn´t even get their feet wet

God was right on time with the birth of Christ! It probably seemed like a long time!

The promise in the garden, the prophecies, then the long silence.

Then action Angelic Activity!

The taxing
The shepherds
The wisemen

There is something very exciting about this truth!

God will be right on time with the second coming of Christ

The stage is being set prophecy is being fulfilled as we speak, some folks still doubt,

but listen!
God will be on time!

Know this: When God works in our lives, He´s always on time

We are not here by accident
Our difficulties are opportunities to believe

The second thing we can learn from Paul´s statement is:

God meets people right where they are!

he second part of verse 4 says:

God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law That´s where we all had our beginning

Born so helpless
It´s strange that God should choose this entrance for His Son into the world?
How great the degree of humility read Philippians 2:5-8
Laid in a manger, what does this mean to you now today?!

God will meet you where you are today!

The third thing we get from Paul´s statement is in  Galatians 4:5
"That we might receive the adoption of sons."
Adopting means "son placed"  Which tells us "God wants to change people from what they are to what they can be!"
This adoption that Paul is talking about is possible because at redemption to be a member of a Holy Family, you must be Holy The Cross provides this read 2 Corinthians 5:17
If a man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things, become new!
God is developing us into what we ought to be!

Listen!

Jesus will change your life

You can only be what you ought to be through His power!

Make this your moment of decision: The most important decision in your life
