I Want Us To Look At Three Things Today.
When Lot Lingered
When it was time for decisive action. When his godly uncle Abraham was praying for him.
When heavenly messengers were urging him to go.
When judgement was imminent.
When he knew better than to linger.
Slow when he should have been quick.
Backward when he should of been forward.
Loitering when he should have been hurrying.
Cold when he should have been hot.
Why Lot Lingered
He made a wrong choice early in life. Genesis 13:5-11
He found his fellowship with sinners. Genesis 13:11-13He had raised his Family in Sodom.
His treasures were all in Sodom.
He felt to old to start over again.
Sodom was home.
Many Are Lingering Like Lot
They know more truth that they live. They believe in heaven but don´t long for it.
They know time is short but live as if it were long.
They build their lives around things below.
They understand the battle but consort with the enemy.
They say they love Christ but don´t live for him.
Conclusion
God does His part to keep us from destruction
Christ Died And Rose Again. The Holy Spirit Convicts Us Of Sin.
God´s Servants Plead With People To Believe.
We have got to stop lingering
Time doesn´t linger.Death doesn´t linger.
Judgement will not linger.
Don´t linger, make a decision to move, NOW!
