About Jesus

This is being written by me to put it as simple as I know how, by using scripture. This page will deal with why Jesus did what He did. This is what separated us from the relationship that God wanted to have with us, it all started with that first sin of disobedience, when Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden.

The Bible says in (Romans 3:23) "For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God." So with that first sin, we have lost our relationship with God, and for that we have to pay a price for that sin.

The Bible says in (Romans 6:23) "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

So with the sins we have done, there is a penalty of death, but God loved us so much that He gave us His Son Jesus as a gift, to pay the penalty for our sins, and Jesus died in our places.

The reference to show His love for us is in (Romans 5:8) "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

While we were still sinners He still loved us and still gave His only Son Jesus as a Gift to us. This gift is Grace, (means unmerited favor) we did not deserve it, we can not do works to get grace, like helping others, being nice, doing this or doing that it is a free gift.

The verse for this is (Ephesians 2:8,9) says. "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works that no one can boast."

That if we were able to do works to get us to Heaven, then there would have been no reason for Jesus to die for our sins, then we would boast about our works getting us to Heaven, instead of God's Love by sacrificing His Only Son to die for us to get us to Heaven.

Even though this gift is free we have to take action and reach out and take it thru faith, to trust God even though we can not see Him.

This faith is just like sitting in a chair, you know it is there but you do not know if it will hold you up until you sit in it.

So not being able to see, or feel God we have to have faith (trust) that what He says He will do.

We have to acknowledge first that we are sinners, that nothing, absolutely nothing we do can get us to God, So this is why Jesus was born by a virgin birth to Mary, Jesus made it possible for us to get our relationship back with God.

If you want to reach out and accept this free gift, then all you have to do is pray this simple prayer.

"I Believe Jesus is the Son of God. I am a sinner, forgive me for the sins that I have done.

I believe that Jesus is the only way for me to get to Heaven, that He died, was buried and on the third day arose, and is know in Heaven preparing a place for me.

I know I deserve to go to Hell, but you loved me and sent your Son to pay for my sins. I repent of my sins, and ask you to come into my life and change my life, and forgive me of my sins." Amen!
