The Battle With The Enemy

The Christian Life Is One Of Constant Conflict.

This is discouraging to some.
Had hoped to move on to heaven with ease.
We are locked in conflict with the world, the flesh, and the devil.
A spiritual battle is raging all through the believer´s life.
The struggle with satan.
The battle against demonic powers.

This Conflict Can Be One Of Victory After Victory.

The victory of Christ at the cross.
We are equipped to win. read Ephesians 6:10-18

The Girdle Of Truth

Satan called the father of lies. read John 8:44

The girdle of truth to oppose him.

The girdle to keep flowing robes from tangling.
Israel on the first Passover night. read Exodus 12:11
Dishonesty trips us up.
No one has a good enough memory to be a successful liar.

Truthful about ourselves in dealing with sin. read 1 John 1:7-9

Truthful with God. read Psalms 51:9

Truthful with others.

The Breastplate Of Righteousness

We are not saved by our righteousness.

Once converted, it is God´s purpose to produce His righteousness in us.
The righteousness of Christ is ours through faith.
His righteousness showing through us.
Both of these are needed.

I need to have Christ´s righteousness.

Others need to see Christ´s righteousness in me.

This is both positional and practical.
Do right! And right things will follow.
We cannot do wrong and expect spiritual victory.

The Preparation Of The Gospel Of Peace

What is the Gospel?

When did you hear of it first?

The preparation of the Gospel of peace: being able to share the Gospel with others.

Why it is called the Gospel of peace. read Romans 5:1

Feet shod with the Gospel of peace; moving out to others with the Gospel.
The best defense is a good offense.
As long as we are standing still, we are easy targets.
Take the Gospel to others and experience victory.

Conclusion

Truth, Righteousness, Soul Winning.

What Part Do These Play In Your Daily Battle?

Get Them In Place And Begin To Win.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
